Buy Cars From Korea

How importing from Korea works

Six steps from choosing a car to driving it. This page sets out what we do, what is asked of you, and how long each part takes — including the parts that are not up to us.

The steps

  1. You choose a car

From the catalogue, or tell us what you are after — make, budget, fuel, what it is for. If it is not in the catalogue we look for it on the Korean market and at auction.

  2. We check the condition

You get the official inspection report: every body panel assessed separately, the state of the engine and gearbox, mileage, the inspector's remarks. If something in that report looks wrong, we tell you before you pay, not after.

  3. We confirm the final price

We work out the turnkey price for Bulgaria — car, shipping, customs, VAT, registration. The price we confirm in writing is the price you pay.

  4. We buy the car

After a deposit we buy the car in Korea. At auction we bid up to a ceiling agreed in advance, and never above it without your say-so.

  5. Shipping to Europe

By sea from Korea to a European port, then overland to Bulgaria. Typically six to ten weeks depending on the port and the sailing schedule. You can follow it the whole way.

  6. Customs and registration

We handle clearance, pay the duty and VAT due, put the car through inspection and register it. You receive it on Bulgarian plates with a full set of documents.

What is asked of you

Your involvement is kept small, but three things are yours alone:

  • Deciding which car we buy — you choose, we supply the facts
  • A deposit before the purchase and the balance before shipping
  • Personal documents for the registration

What we do not promise

An exact delivery date. Sea freight depends on sailing schedules and port congestion — we give a real range and keep you posted rather than inventing a date because it sounds better.

A car with no faults at all. These are used cars. You get the report as it is, remarks included, so you decide with your eyes open.

FAQ

How long does the whole process take?
Usually eight to twelve weeks from payment to registration. Sea freight is the longest part. If the car is bought at auction, add another week or two for the auction itself.
Can I see the car before I pay?
Not in person — the car is in Korea. You do get the official inspection report covering the condition of each part, the photographs from the lot, and the full specification. That is more information than most listings in Bulgaria give you.
What if the car arrives different from the description?
The terms are fixed in the contract before payment, including what happens if the car materially differs from the report. We go through that with you before you pay, not when it is already too late.
Do Korean cars come with a warranty?
A used car does not come with a factory warranty. What we give instead is transparency before the purchase: an official inspection, complete data, and a price with nothing added later.
